We are seeking a skilled Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join an inclusive and supportive alternative provision school, working with Key Stage 3 students. The successful candidate will be a dynamic teacher capable of delivering engaging lessons, fostering confidence, and supporting personal and academic growth. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver inspiring DT lessons tailored to meet the needs of Key Stage 3 learners. Create a safe, structured, and stimulating environment that encourages student engagement. Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs, building students’ technical skills and self-confidence. Establish strong, positive relationships with students, providing guidance and mentorship. Effectively manage classroom behavior, using strategies to support students with challenging behavior. Work collaboratively with colleagues to track student progress and implement strategies to help them succeed. Candidate Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization or strong background in Design and Technology. Experience working in alternative provisions or similar educational settings is highly advantageous. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with diverse needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build meaningful connections with students. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
