About the Role
As the Reception Manager, you will manage the daily front desk operations, ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs, manage guest reservations, and maintain high service standards. You'll be hands-on, with a focus on building strong relationships with regular guests, upselling hotel services, and ensuring every guest's experience is seamless and memorable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee Front Desk Operations: Manage the reception team and ensure smooth daily operations, including efficient check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
* Build Guest Relationships: Develop strong, lasting relationships with regular guests, ensuring they feel valued and receive personalized service every time they visit.
* Upselling & Revenue Generation: Proactively upsell hotel services such as dining, spa treatments, and room upgrades to enhance the guest experience while increasing revenue.
* Guest Experience Management: Lead the team in providing outstanding service, resolving any guest issues or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
* Team Leadership & Development: Motivate, train, and develop your reception team, providing ongoing support and guidance to improve performance and service delivery.
* Administrative Duties: Oversee all reception-related administrative tasks, including financial reports, daily checklists, and communication with other hotel departments.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations at the front desk and ensure smooth operations.
Essential Skills & Experience:
? Proven experience in hotel reception management within a boutique, independent, or luxury hotel setting.
? Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a reception team effectively.
? Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and build lasting relationships.
? A keen eye for detail with excellent organisational skills to ensure smooth operations.
? Strong upselling and sales ability to maximise revenue through room upgrades, services, and promotions.
? Experience with hotel management software and booking systems.
? Ability to maintain high service standards, manage guest complaints, and resolve issues efficiently.
? A proactive, hands-on approach, with a commitment to leading by example.
