Job Title: Composite Research Engineer
Description:
We are developing a novel composite material recycling technology to full industrial scale and solve key problems in the high-tech manufacturing industry related to cost, productivity, and sustainability of carbon fibre composites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead all material testing efforts, from experiments to analysis and reporting of results.
* Develop and validate new testing methods to accurately confirm conformance of material produced.
* Perform composite manufacturing trials under varying processing conditions, map effects on resulting composite material properties, and develop best use guides.
* Identify opportunities to enhance product quality from production to manufacturing methods.
* Actively work with Lineat's production team, engineering team, and R&D team on process and productivity improvements.
Requirements:
* A degree in Engineering or Material Science is essential, with an MSc or PhD in Fibre Composites being desirable.
* Two years' experience working with composite materials and good knowledge of composite manufacturing processes, testing methods.
* Able to perform composite manufacturing and testing activities independently.
* Good operational and research skills, especially on new procedure development and data management.
* Ability to identify key manufacturing process variables impacting performance of final composite parts.
* Effective communication with various stakeholders at different levels.
