Bereavement Services are a small team located at The Crematorium, Magdalen Lawn Cemetery in Gorleston.
The post is a temporary contract of 6 months until 31st July 2025, working 19 ½ hours a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9.30am to 4pm with 20 minutes for lunch. Duties will include responsibility for the compilation of appropriate records relating to cremations and burials, data input onto the BACAS database system to produce statutory paperwork required prior to cremation and interment within specific service timescales. Further duties include the preparation and production of invoices, updating fees, processing dedication and renewal applications and payments, the preparation of orders for associated requisites, and maintaining and providing accurate records and reports in accordance with the Council’s procedures.
