Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely while maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of business processes, continuous improvement methodologies, and quality control practices. The Production Manager will lead a team of production staff and collaborate with various departments to optimise supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee daily production activities to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
2. Implement and monitor systems for effective production management and workflow optimisation.
3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
5. Manage quality control processes to guarantee that products meet company specifications.
6. Collaborate with supply chain teams to coordinate material requirements and inventory management.
7. Provide mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and facilitate repairs as needed.
8. Assemble production reports and analyse data to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
9. Train, mentor, and develop production staff to foster a high-performance culture.
Skills
1. Strong understanding of systems related to production management.
2. Proficiency in business processes that enhance operational efficiency.
3. Proven knowledge of managing NPI in an engineering manufacturing environment.
4. Knowledge of quality control standards and practices in manufacturing environments.
5. Familiarity with supply chain management principles.
6. Thorough understanding of metrics and project performance evaluation.
7. Experience of working with ERP software.
