Job Title : Rehab Occupational Therapist Band : 6 Hours : 37.5 hours per week Location : Wisbech, Cambridgeshire Rate : Competitive, to be discussed upon application An exciting short-term opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic team based in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. This position is available for an immediate start, offering competitive rates. Key Responsibilities : The roles of the Occupational Therapist include assessing new patients admitted to the ward for in-patient rehabilitation, inclusive of a functional assessment, careful consideration of home environment and subsequent discharge planning and goal setting. They will form and implement treatment plans, supporting with rehabilitation, and support junior members of staff, including delegation and supervisory responsibilities. The therapist will attend multidisciplinary team meetings, whiteboard meetings, and remote meetings discussing patient flow, having oversight of the ward to enable this. They will be supported by a Band 7 line manager. Qualifications and Experience : Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy. Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Previous experience working at Band 6 level within Neuro Rehab speciality. Expertise in occupational therapy assessments and interventions. A high level of clinical skills as evidenced by peer review and reports. Evidence of incorporating core values of commitment, trust, integrity, and kindness into their work with others. Willingness to work flexibly across a range of clinic models, venues, and days of the week. Good communication skills An interest to advance professionally as evidenced by attendance and contribution to reflective practice meetings, reliability meetings, and/or other CPD events within their professional clinical practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
