LGC, Diagnostics & Genomics (D&G) seeks a driven critical thinker to join the Global Program Management and Operational Excellence Team (PM&OE) as a Programme Manager. LGC D&G develops and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of products, quality solutions, and components for the extended life sciences industry to feed, cure, and protect the world’s population.
The role involves supporting PM&OE in global strategic program management, with a focus on laboratory build, setup, and system transfer to new or existing sites. The Programme Manager will provide leadership, advise on global systems and processes, and may evolve to oversee enterprise-wide strategic change roadmaps supporting a 5-year growth trajectory.
This is a diverse role with high exposure across organizational functions, suited for candidates comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments. The role requires close collaboration with various business functions to ensure smooth operations and problem-solving.
Job Responsibilities:
* Formulate, plan, and execute programs for major change initiatives globally, primarily in the US and EMEA.
* Lead and support new laboratory construction and setup projects.
* Develop and improve project and program systems, processes, and best practices.
* Understand organizational drivers and align programs accordingly.
* Act as Project Manager for significant projects requiring advanced experience.
* Create program plans, budgets, risk registers, and manage project interdependencies.
* Communicate effectively to resolve conflicts and escalate issues when necessary.
* Secure resources in collaboration with senior leadership.
* Ensure program buy-in across functions and establish governance processes.
* Lead, train, mentor, and coach project teams to develop skills and retain knowledge.
Qualifications:
* Formal qualification in project or program management (practitioner level) with 10+ years of experience.
* Experience in construction and engineering projects, especially site builds and capability transfers.
* Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO, and regulatory compliance.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a dynamic environment.
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* Experience working with global cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in business processes, organizational structures, and IT systems.
