Supply Technician - If you are a dedicated and skilled individual with a passion for excellence, we invite you to join our team at the United States Air Force, 48th Civil Engineer Squadron, RAF Lakenheath. We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in, but not limited to, ordering stock, maintaining stock levels, accounts and transactions and providing customer support. Why RAF Lakenheath: Located in the heart of Suffolk, RAF Lakenheath is home to the 48th Civil Engineer Squadron. This base is pivotal in maintaining international security and fostering strong alliances between the US and UK. Our team is dedicated to excellence, innovation, and the highest standards of operational readiness., You will be responsible for maintaining stock levels for authorized supplies in the Self-Help Center, RAF Lakenheath. You will also maintain property accounts and records, completing individual transactions, screening reference files, conducting data searches and distributing output files. In this position you will perform document control work involved in the processing of supply transactions as well as aid customers, storage depots, or other organizations and perform general clerical support work. A pre-employment physical will be required for this position, this will be conducted at RAF Lakenheath. Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on a fixed schedule Mon-Fri 0800-1630 where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies., You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. All successful applicants will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK.
You will show knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods; knowledge of policies and procedures for requisitioning and stock control; knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures; knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system. You will have the ability to research, compile, and analyze supply information and data; receive, screen, review, verify, and maintain supply documents; and resolve discrepancies as well as the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Qualification requirements:
* A valid CAT B driving license.
