Job summary
You will work as part of the mammographic multi-disciplinary team, undertaking screening and assessment radiographic imaging across a full range of mobile and static sites.
The post holder will carry out screening mammography in accordance with the NHS Breast Screening Program and perform the full range of imaging techniques (to include additional views and tomosynthesis) during assessment clinics at the static site.
Main duties of the job
1. To undertake radiographic duties associated with the provision of a high quality breast screening service within the department and on the mobile screening units in a caring and professional manner.
2. Process client information and use PC to input clinical details accurately on the NHSBSP database.
3. To maintain high standards of care through the appropriate use of interpersonal skills and knowledge and the ability to adapt technique to cater for clients with a range of needs.
4. To perform imaging techniques (to include tomosynthesis and additional views), for which adequate training has been given to a consistently high standard.
5. Observe and adhere to all relevant quality control tests and checks to include Ultrasound quality assurance.
6. Conduct self and peer review of mammography examinations (10 per month) using the Image Assessment Tool (IAT).
7. To attend all mandatory training as directed by InHealth.
8. To work in accordance with IRR99 and IR(MER) 2000 regulations.
9. Observe health and safety, and risk management standards and policies, and report all incidents promptly.

26. Actively participate in QA, specifically Ultrasound and tormam under the guidance of the QA superintendent.

27. Knowledge of Health and Safety and IR(ME)R Regulations
28. Understanding of confidentiality and the Data Protection Act / PIAG
29. Understanding of cleanliness and Infection Control Procedures
30. Experience working in a customer facing role
31. Using Microsoft packages and other IT systems
32. Working as part of a team but also independently
33. Data protection and confidentiality laws
34. Foundation degree in breast imaging or equivalent.
35. Current full driving licence and car owner
