Job Summary You will be responsible for working in partnership with the Senior Finance Business Partner(s) (FBP) for both Projects and the wider business. You will be providing management information and support that enables the FBP team and operational management to effectively deliver their financial plans. Directorate Overview As a directorate, FPP are responsible for the planning, reporting and financial wellbeing of CCS. This includes: budgets and financial reporting strategy and business planning supplier and project assurance performance reporting risk management The Finance team develop and manage all financial reporting. We work closely with different departments to develop budgets, projections and business plans related to money and finances. The Planning Performance and Risk team develops our business plan, tracks its implementation, measures business success and holds the business to account. The team is responsible for increasing the management capability of corporate risk through review and assurance. Team Summary You will be part of a dynamic and focused FBP team of nine made up of a multiple bandwidth structure with clear progression routes. The purpose of the FBP Team is to advise, support and challenge in order for our stakeholders to make effective decisions in order to deliver the CCS Business Plan. Recently, team activity includes presenting “the Future of Finance Business Partnering” at the Government Finance Function Conference, working on setting the financial budget for 2025/26 and delivering a service offering to the wider business. Key Accountabilities: Provide transactional support in order to improve cost and efficiency, clarify accountabilities and empower delivery of great customer service Provide accurate timely variance analysis across CCS’s project portfolio Creation and maintenance of financial and Project Reports for review by Senior Finance Business Partner(SFBP) Preparation of forecasting files for SFBP to review with cost centre budget owners as well as the wider business as required. Accruals i.e., checking commitment reports & checking project trackers updated Preparing budgets alongside SFBP Responsibility for reconciliation of AUC (Assets under Construction) on projects, including support for Project Managers.
