Job Overview
There is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Practitioner to join the Chesterfield Assessment team reporting to the Service Manager. Your role will be to supervise social care staff and lead on professional practice. You will be involved with the day-to-day running of the team and support Adult Social Care colleagues both within the local team and on a countywide level, including the identification of training and development needs through Peer Supervision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead by example to ensure that Social Workers and Social Care Practitioners deliver high-quality statutory social care services to adults over the age of 18 and young people in transition from Children’s Services.
2. Actively involved in complex case management and court work.
3. Offer support, advice, and professional supervision to all members of the team.
4. Produce management reports, chair meetings, and deputise for the Service Manager when required.
Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously and will have excellent knowledge of Safeguarding, The Care Act 2014, and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
