Responsibilities
* Install, alter, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems on all equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
* Safely perform all required preventative maintenance tasks within the specified timeline on all assigned equipment in the thermo department and building utilities/infrastructure.
* Complete any required documentation in ISO/SQF.
* Assist with other tasks as needed to support team efforts.
* Safely assist with mold changes when necessary.
* Follow all safety, food safety, GMP, and HACCP practices.
Qualifications
* Minimum seven years of combined electrical and mechanical experience on industrial machines and related production equipment.
* Provide leadership to maintenance techs and guide their shifts.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
* Emphasis on regaining machines to production status in a timely and effective manner.
* Assist PM team when necessary on PMs and special projects.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, hydraulic and electrical prints, and procedure manuals.
* Working knowledge of electrical prints and drawings, with hydraulic prints preferred.
* Capable of communicating with tech support and parts procurement.
* Functional knowledge of all aspects of maintenance and plant infrastructure.
* Ability to lift and manipulate objects, tools, or controls, and perform physical tasks safely.
* Capable of performing job duties with little or no supervision.
* Ability to work well with others and assist in training needs.
* Must be able to work any shift and mandatory overtime as required.
* Proficient in all electrical duties and maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment, mechanical systems, breakers, and fixtures.
* CEW certified and Berry forklift certified.
