At Serco, we're hiring for a Growth Data and Insights Lead to join our UK & Europe Growth team and play a key role in driving the achievement of critical business targets, including Total Contract Value (TCV), Exit Pipeline, and In-Year Revenue (IYR). Leading a team of Data Analysts and related roles, the Growth Data and Insights Lead will provide essential support by tracking and reporting sales metrics, supporting bids with data analytics and insights, and contributing to the development of the customer management journey through the intelligent use of customer data. Working closely with the UK&E Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and Growth Directors, the Lead will provide strategic direction and technical oversight, while also managing data policies aligned with the wider UK&E Division to ensure data quality, ownership, and retention. This role will drive standardisation and best practices across Serco Group, ensuring the resilience and effectiveness of the Data Analytics and Insights capability to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
* Drive accountability across UK&E Growth team for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of core sales data. Utilising the Growth Data and Insights team, provide best practice metrics tracking and insight to satisfy formal corporate reporting requirements as well as provide leading and lagging indicators of performance to drive action to improve likelihood of meeting targets.
* Provide direct support to bids where data analytics and insight is identified as a key win theme for the bid, for example, interface with operational counterparts in Serco to provide benchmarks and insight to drive evidence-based price and solution decisions to delight our customers.
* Support to the ongoing development of the customer management journey across the UK&E Division, through intelligent use of customer data analytics and insights, for example, track interaction data across various mediums and teams and provide insight to drive action to increase customer engagement. Influence the design of customer management systems and data requirements to ensure rigour and best practice data architecture is developed and maintained.
* Influence and drive knowledge management practices across to the wider Growth team. Utilise a rich set of sales data prevalent in the organisation to drive actionable insight, for example, analyse, understand, and present insight in a simple and meaningful way based on bid outcome data pertaining to price and quality scores vis-à-vis Serco competitors.
* Provide leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day management of junior team members. Be a route of escalation and technical support. Foster a culture of high performance, including but not limited to a focus on development, mentoring and coaching members of the team.
What You'll Need:
* Bachelor's degree in a numerate discipline or engineering field. Master's degree in equivalent disciplines such as information management, mathematics, statistics, or engineering would be desirable.
* Significant experience in successfully leading data analyst and decision support teams, particularly in data insights, performance reporting, and management reporting.
* A confident leader with demonstrable experience in managing, mentoring, and motivating teams.
* Proven experience of defining and implementing data quality rules and frameworks, along with experience creating and maintaining data management artefacts such as glossaries, definitions, standards, and lineage.
* Extensive competence in using Power BI as a primary tool for presenting data and insight. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous, plus additional experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Analysis for Office, or other leading visualisation tools is also a benefit.
* Experience in creating business-driven insights and ensuring the quality and consistency of output, with the ability to provide guidance on surfacing insights and delivering data-driven recommendations to drive change and improvement.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly. Comfortable engaging with senior leadership to communicate the team's work, priorities, and to understand and address business challenges while providing actionable solutions.
