About the team
The Worldpay Data Centre team is a global team of passionate and dedicated professionals. What makes the team special is not only the dedication and tenure of the staff but also the commitment to work as one both as a Data Centre team but also as part of the Infrastructure organization to deliver excellence to Worldpay and our customers alike.
What you'll own
Reporting to the UK Data Centre Leader, you will be a member of the UK based Data Centre team. This team is charged with the operation of two world-class enterprise Data Centres.
1. Full lifecycle management of Data Centre hardware, installation, maintenance, and decom
2. Receiving and acting on ticket requests to complete adds, moves and changes to hardware
3. Complete regular reviews and audits of the data centre to ensure proper operation
4. Uphold Data Centre standards, operating metrics, and capacity reporting
5. Maintain a close and collaborative relationship with the Data Centre colocation providers
6. Work as a team with other members of the Infrastructure organization
7. Flex hours as projects and tasks demand
Where you'll own it
You'll own it in our two datacentres based in London (Docklands) and Woking. This role will require travel across both sites.
What you bring
1. 3-5 years of demonstrated experience working in Enterprise Data Centres
2. Firm understanding of Data Centre best practices
3. Proficient at both Fibre and Copper cabling installation and standards
4. Keen grasp of Data Centre enabling technology such as power, cooling, and resiliency
5. ServiceNow and DCIM toolsets
6. Excellent documentation and communication skills
7. Attention to detail resulting in stability and predictability of the environment
8. Ability to work both as a team and independently
