The Opportunity
Are you an experienced real estate lawyer ready to take the lead on some of the most dynamic and complex property development transactions in London? We’re working with a high-profile urban regeneration project seeking aLegal Director (Real Estate)to join their Legal team on a12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a rare chance to workat the heart of a landmark development, partnering closely with internal stakeholders across project management, development, leasing, finance, and senior leadership. You’ll also oversee and mentor in-house counsel and manage key external relationships.

Key Responsibilities
* Draft, negotiate and manage a range of property documents: leases, joint ventures, easements, sale and purchase agreements, and more.
* Lead or support complex transactions involving development finance, forward purchase deals, and planning agreements.
* Advise internal teams on estate management, leasing, marketing, events, and commercial contracts.
* Manage legal risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to corporate structuring strategies.
* Supervise, coach, and support a direct report (Real Estate Lawyer).
* Act as a key liaison with external counsel and manage the legal budget effectively.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)with8+ years PQEin real estate law.
* A strong background inmixed-use development– from acquisitions to structuring and disposal.
* Proven experience advising developers, landowners, purchasers, and funders.
* Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and outstanding communication skills.
* Prior in-house or general counsel experience is desirable, but not essential.
* Confident managing people, projects, and legal spend.
