An opportunity has arisen to work as part of the Estates & Facilities Cleaning Services Department as a Facilities Supervisor.
The post holder will work as part of the existing Cleaning Services Management Team supervising a team of Cleaning Services Assistants in the provision of a high-quality customer-focused cleaning service. They will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation, control, and training of the Cleaning Services Assistants to ensure quality delivery through direct supervision.
There is a necessity to comply with the Trust's policies and procedures and have an understanding of confidentiality.

Person Specification
Experience
* Recent extensive team leader or supervisory experience
* Experience of dealing with staff and the public
* Experience of prioritising workload and managing staff
* Experience of working in a healthcare environment
Skills
* Literate and numerate to NHS entry level standard
* Demonstrates a flexible approach to work.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Report writing skills
Knowledge
* Must be prepared to undertake further training
* Knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment, and procedures
* Understanding of COSHH
* An understanding of Infection prevention and Control procedures
Qualifications
* Possess, be working towards, or be prepared to work towards a recognised and relevant professional qualification in cleaning services at level 2 (NVQ, BICS, CIEH or equivalent)
* Infection control certificate
