About therole
We are looking for a LeadClinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at The Shires –Oakham, East Midlands. The postholder will work collaborativelywith both the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and theClinical Locality Lead. The role will be split between clinicallyleading the team and holding a therapy caseload. Workingcollaboratively with the team, the postholder will deliver bespokeassessment and intervention plans for our students who maypresent with complex profiles of need as a result of autism andother types of neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social,emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. They will also beresponsible for coordinating the line management of the members ofthe onsite clinical team and leading on the service development ofthe clinical school-based service, alongside the school SLT andClinical Locality Lead.
The postholder will beresponsible for holding the therapy caseload with the full supportof our well-established and knowledgeable clinical network andgrowing Clinical Team, you will also contribute to staff trainingand consultation. Both a challenging and rewarding role, thisposition would suit a resilient and enthusiastic individual, with atherapeutic approach and the ability to make decisions, as well asmanage their own workload and supervise others. Working within overall frameworkof the service policies and procedures, the postholder will besupporting the integration of the specific service in the day today running of each provision i.e., standardised assessments andclinical services. A key aspect of the role will be to deliver thewellbeing and clinical rainbow strategy at a universal,enhanced and specialist level to support our wider teams in meetingour pupils’ needs in line with set Education, Health Plan(EHCP).

Essential Criteria:
* Recognised degree in either,Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy or registeredas a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.
* Valid and up to date professional Registration& membership of professional body e.g. HCPC,BPS
* Experience within thespecialist client group; working with autistic individuals andthose with complex needs.
* Clear and concise report writing relating toclinical and research activities
* Experience of providing supervision andsupporting a therapy team
* Ability to workindependently
* Ability towork dynamically and within a growing and developing clinicalservice
* Experience ofmulti-professional work with teams or services within thedesignated specialty preferred
* Full UK valid driving licence and access to ownvehicle
