ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to high project demand and our client striving for business growth, they’re looking at bringing in a new Contract Manager. As a Contract Manager you will be expected to:
1. Manage the contract lifecycle for shopfitting and interior fit-out projects, encompassing pre-award, award, and post-construction phases.
2. Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure contracts align with project specifications and budgets.
3. Negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors and suppliers, securing the best possible terms for materials, labor, and services.
4. Oversee contract performance, proactively identifying and addressing any potential issues or deviations from agreed-upon terms.
5. Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, including health and safety regulations, and manage change orders.
6. Analyze contracts to identify and mitigate risks associated with materials, timelines, and budgets.
7. Maintain accurate and detailed contract records for project reference.
8. Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, architects, and sub-contractors.
REQUIREMENTS
9. Minimum 3 years of experience in construction contract management.
10. Proven negotiation skills with a strong understanding of construction contract law principles.
11. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
12. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
13. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
14. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
15. Knowledge of the shopfitting and interior contracting industry a plus.
