About the Role
This is a really exciting opportunity to work within the team that delivers Public and Personal Training to the Officers and Staff of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary. The recent uplift in Police Officers within the two counties, together with additional training requirements set by the College of Policing has meant that our team of PPST trainers needs to expand. Primarily based at Netley : but with opportunities to support officers around the County you will be a motivated individual able to work as part of a busy team.
Key Accountabilities include but are not limited to;
1. To deliver a range of existing police officer/police staff courses, ensuring the learning objectives are achieved.
2 To assist with the design and delivery of new training programmes to meet identified needs within the workforce.
3 To design and produce clear, concise and well presented training support material, for use, before, during and after training.
4 To offer appropriate guidance to participants, in order to facilitate their personal development, understanding, and help them adopt suitable responses to work related performance issues.
5 To liaise and consult with other colleagues within the L and D Department, wider operational units/departments, other forces and partner agencies in order to identify, analyse and discuss a variety of training solutions for the organisation.
6 To undertake continuous assessment/validation/evaluation of the training programmes, ensuring that it is appropriate to the needs of individuals, the organisation and is of a consistently high standard.

Additional Requirements
Hours of duty are 37 per week,Primarily worked within the hours of 0800 : 1700. The working pattern will also include occasional rostered longer shifts and evenings and weekend work for which will attract the appropriate allowances.
Currently based at Southwick or Hamble, however, may be required to visit various locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and must hold a current drivers licence and be prepared to take and pass a Force driving course if required to drive pool cars, hire vehicles as required.
Probationary period of 12 months applies to this post.
Required to wear uniform as provided in line with Uniform and Standards of Dress.
For some specific training roles a recognised qualification or evidence of skills attainment may be deemed essential.
