The North West School of Radiology (NWSOR) is seeking applicationsThe'Trust' Specialty Training Lead (TSTL)will oversee themanagement and pastoral support for the ST1 Academy Placement. There will bea requirement to hold face to face activities on site School is currently relocating to a new site, some travel will be expected with the long term plan to be based in Altrincham Health & Wellbeing Centre.
The post holder willbethe named 'Clinical Supervisor' during the4 monthplacement, andisresponsible fororganising and conducting placement appraisals, support completion of WPBAs and educational portfolio requirements.
The post holder willneed to be aware of Lead Employer policies to supportoccupational health, risk assessment and absence management of trainees with support from Programme Support &HR Management.
The post holder will oversee the FRCR Part 1 exam programme to ensure sessions support the preparation for exams, working with the Subspecialty Curriculum Leads, Clinical Lecturers and Exam Support TPD to deliver a robust programme.
The post holderwill need tohave aset pre-agreed 'Academy Day' prior to appointment.
Travel to our regional Academy sites is expected and required for all of our posts. All mileage and incurred expenses are reimbursed.

Onsite commitment at Academy (agreed based on Job plan) - minimum fortnight.
Educational and E-Portfolio assessments
Organise, conduct and feedback end of year assessments for ST1 trainees
Complete trainee workplace-based assessments where applicable
Oversee FRCR Part 1 Exam Teaching
Oversee educational activities at Academy
Troubleshoot academy ST1
Liaise and work with subspeciality curriculum leads
Bi yearly - meeting with Academy Director/AHoS/HoS
Mid point performance review with Academy Director/AHoS/HoS
Yearly Appraisal and Educator MSF
Attend yearly academy development day meeting
Attend bi-yearly STC

The post holder will work in partnership with the Head of School, Associate Head of School Programme Support Business Manager, Programme Support team and educators to enable successful delivery of the Academy. The Radiology Academy has expanded to include teaching sites in Alder Hey Childrens Hospital, The Christie, Aintree and East Lancashire Teaching Hospitals as well as installing a new dedicated site in South Manchester.

6. Consultant in Radiology on the Specialist Register
7. Membership or Fellowship of The Royal College of Radiologists
8. Consultant currently working in NHS in North-West England
Desirable
9. Minimum 2 years post CCT
10. Formal educational qualification PGCert/FHEA Accreditation or equivalent educational experience

11. Experience of organising / delivering education programmes / courses in Clinical Radiology
12. Experience of creating both online & in person teaching material
13. Previous or current appointment as an Educational Supervisor

14. Prior teaching experience within the Radiology Academy
