As the Marketing Manager & Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our market presence, win new business, and position HB Tunnelling as a leader in tunnelling and underground infrastructure.
You will combine industry knowledge with marketing expertise to identify opportunities, nurture client relationships, and lead marketing initiatives that align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
1. Support the Directors to develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and secure new projects in the tunnelling and infrastructure sectors.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and key decision-makers.
3. Support identification and evaluation new market opportunities, including tenders and project bids, ensuring alignment with the company’s capabilities.
4. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform business strategy.
5. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our services and expertise.
Marketing and Branding
1. Develop and execute marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, reputation, and positioning in the tunnelling sector.
2. Manage the company’s digital presence, including website, social media, and online content, ensuring consistent and professional messaging.
3. Create marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, case studies, and press releases, to support business development activities.
4. Coordinate with internal teams to showcase successful projects and innovation through marketing campaigns and client communications, including production of case studies
5. Conduct market research to understand client needs, project pipelines, and emerging trends, adapting strategies accordingly.
6. Manage relationships with external marketing and PR agencies to ensure effective promotion and public relations efforts.
Collaboration and Reporting
1. Work closely with the senior leadership team to align business development and marketing strategies with overall company objectives.
2. Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities, marketing performance, and progress towards targets.
3. Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and project capabilities.
Key Skills and Experience
1. Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience in business development and marketing, ideally within the construction sector
2. Desired Industry Knowledge, But Not Essential. Strong understanding of tunnelling, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects, including key clients, industry challenges, and market trends.
3. Business Development Skills: Proven track record in identifying new opportunities, winning contracts, and managing client relationships.
4. Marketing Expertise: Experience in developing marketing strategies, managing digital platforms, and creating marketing collateral.
5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, stakeholders, and internal teams effectively.
6. Leadership: Strong leadership and project management skills to drive business initiatives and marketing campaigns.
7. IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and digital marketing tools (e.g., social media platforms, website management, email marketing).
