783CW Maintenance Technician Hinkley Point C, Somerset Permanent, Full time £50,000 to £55,000 per annum (dependant on pay route) Job Title: Maintenance Technician Description & Background: We're seeking a skilled Care and Maintenance Technician to join the Emergency Diesel Generators Project at Hinkley Point C. This role is crucial for maintaining and managing stored and installed UK5211 assets, ensuring they remain in optimal condition through planned maintenance activities. You'll be working as part of the Energy & Industry division, contributing to the successful delivery of this critical nuclear power infrastructure project. Responsibilities: Execute Care and Maintenance activities on stored and installed UK5211 assets Support C&M Engineer in planning and coordinating maintenance activities across all storage locations Produce detailed maintenance reports and documentation Manage C&M tools, equipment, and consumables stocks Maintain organization and cleanliness of Genset Storage facility at Avonmouth Interface with site construction teams and provide assistance when required Supervise additional labor resources for site C&M activities Participate in site weekly/daily meetings as needed Promote and develop site Nuclear Safety Culture Ensure adherence to Health & Safety plans and requirements Support quality control processes and proper installation reporting Liaise with offsite warehouses for monthly C&M visits Act as Incident Controller and Permit Holder for identified site activities Experience Required: Relevant academic qualifications with 5 years practical experience Experience in major M&E erection/installation projects Knowledge of UK Regulations including nuclear site license Understanding of Quality Management Systems Practical knowledge of Quality/HSE and Security requirements Strong knowledge of general installation including diesel engines and generators Experience with electrical, mechanical, and control/instrumentation systems Understanding of Interface Management and Change Management procedures Knowledge of UK construction context and regulations Desirable Qualifications: CCNSG Safety Passport Security Clearance to BPSS Knowledge of Nuclear Safety Culture Understanding of Document Control procedures Experience with electronic document management systems Knowledge of CDM regulations Understanding of Human Factor requirements Experience with PDMS Salary, Hours and Location: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum (dependant on pay route) Permanent, Full time Site-based roles at Avonmouth facilities This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects while working with cutting-edge nuclear power technology.
