The Role:
As a Special Needs Primary Teacher, you will:
1. Work with children across year groups, providing tailored support for a variety of SEN needs.
2. Plan and deliver effective interventions to support the academic, emotional, and social development of pupils.
3. Demonstrate a deep understanding of the diverse needs of primary-aged children, including autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, and other additional needs.
4. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure inclusive practices and successful outcomes.
5. Develop your leadership skills under the mentorship of the SLT and SENCO.
6. Take the first steps toward achieving your SENCO qualification, with guidance and support.
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for candidates who have:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience working with primary-aged children with special needs.
2. A strong understanding of and passion for supporting a wide range of SEN needs.
3. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
4. A proactive and reflective approach to teaching, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
5. A desire to pursue a career as a SENCO and a dedication to making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
6. Flexibility, creativity, and resilience to adapt to the varying needs of pupils.
