We design and manufacture products in the UK, and source unique lines from across the world. We have significant growth targets and a sustained and energetic programme of new product development. Reason for role To provide Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental support to one of our main production sites. To ensure the production site meets its Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental responsibilities. Main Responsibilities Monthly production audit Monthly H&S audit Monthly buildings/ yard/ warehouse audit Monthly QMS audits Assisting in third party audits (ISO 9001, BRCGS, SMETA) Raising NCs relating to issues found during manufacturing/ delivery of raw materials Managing closure of NCs raised with relevant departments (e.g. purchasing, site management) Incoming goods delivery inspections and release Incoming goods/ raw material testing Work with site management on Quality Objectives Main contact point for production floor staff to discuss Quality issues found during production Daily product Quality checks (i.e. first off checks and random checks) for all products being manufactured each day Ensuring all site Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental records are kept up to date Creating and updating Production Specifications/ Packing Specifications Creating labels for AA/PV/PP/NP docs Assisting the running of production trials Managing site Document Control system and ensuring all documentation is current Managing site noticeboards/ ensuring policies, procedures etc. are up to date Management of site external testing program and sending samples off for testing as required Attend daily DPM meetings and complete any relevant actions Carry out any required training with production staff for checking Quality specifications etc. Carry out any required training with production staff for H&S/ Environmental issues etc. Managing site calibration records and ensuring all equipment is calibrated as required Providing cover to other factory sites when required Qualification Use of own car, as travel between sites will occasionally be required Proficiency in Excel IOSH or NEBOSH qualified desirable Familiarity with SAP desirable Experience Experience in a previous Quality control/ Quality Assurance role Experience carrying out internal audits Experience in a previous H&S role desirable Third party audit experience desirable (ISO 9001 / BRCGS) Benefits: Company events Discounted or free food Employee discount Free parking Health & wellbeing programme Life insurance On-site parking Sick pay Salary £24,500 per annum.
