About the Role: The Commercial Finance Analyst will play a key role in providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making within LexisNexis and more specifically Global Nexis Solutions (gNS). The individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial support for the commercial functions of the business, including forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and reporting. This role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product, to ensure strategic objectives are aligned with financial performance. Responsibilities: - Support the preparation and presentation of monthly and annual financial results, including revenue, costs, and profitability. - Assist in the analysis of financial performance versus budget and forecast, providing insightful commentary on key variances. - Develop and maintain financial models to analyze business performance and trends, enabling data-driven decision-making. - Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate business opportunities and risks. - Act as a trusted business partner to the Segment, Sales, and Product teams, delivering clear and concise financial insights to support operational decision-making. - Support pricing strategy and contract negotiations with financial impact assessments, ensuring alignment with company goals. - Establish, track, and report on KPIs related to commercial activities, including sales performance, margin analysis, customer acquisition costs, and lifetime value. - Develop dashboards and reporting tools that facilitate business leaders' understanding of financial performance. - Participate in strategic financial projects, such as new product launches, business acquisitions, or investments, providing financial modeling and analysis. - Support the preparation of business cases for new initiatives and investment proposals. Requirements - Newly Qualified / Part Qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or in process of completing exams - Demonstrate experience in a financial role or finance support role,such as FPnA Analyst/ Finance Business Partner/ Financial Analyst - Display high degree of discretion and confidentiality - Have the ability to utilize financial data to diagnose business strengths, weaknesses and identify potential strategies - Have excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences Work in a way that works for you We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
