Procurement Lead - Daresbury
Base salary: c£60k p.a. | Hybrid / Daresbury office
A rare opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Lead to join a global organization that delivers IT infrastructure solutions, managing projects from initial deployment through upgrades and decommissions.
The role:
1. Manage complex procurement activities or processes at a country-wide level.
2. Administer contracts, control costs, and ensure on-time delivery in accordance with program requirements.
3. Negotiate favourable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers. May involve follow-up on large projects.
4. Lead a small team (<10) in operational tasks management, including:
* Strategic procurement
* Supplier management
* RFPs
* Managing assets
* Communications
* Software and engineering support
* Testing
* Fleet management
* Health & welfare
To apply, you should have the following skills and experience:
* Procurement experience in managing supply chain environments, logistics, or vendor management.
* Solid negotiation skills.
* Strong budgeting and planning abilities.
* Ability to own and solve complex tasks within large projects.
* Advanced knowledge within a specific technical or professional discipline, understanding the impact on other organizational areas.
* Collaboration and influencing skills—strong relationship-building with the ability to influence stakeholders.
* Procurement industry-recognized certifications.
