We are seeking a Clinical Lead, working 0.8wte to join our service and support us to continue to expand and develop our clinical offer.
We are looking for Clinical/Counselling or Educational Psychology/ BABCP accredited CBT/ Family Therapy/ Child Psychotherapy colleagues with a passion for Early Intervention emotional wellbeing and mental health support.
Who are we:
Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) are a new government initiative to help increase children and young people’s access to support for emotional wellbeing and mental health.
MHSTs have three main functions:
* Targeted interventions.
* Whole School Approach.
* Consultation and Liaison.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will join the established senior leadership team within Kent and Medway MHST to support with the following areas:
* Leading on the development and implementation of MHSTs across Kent & Medway.
* Ensuring evidence-based practice by engaging with higher education institutions and NELFT research.
* Promoting service-user voice and meaningful coproduction.
* Ensuring county-wide consistency in clinical delivery and quality monitoring.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Support children and young people experiencing mild to moderate emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.
* Lead on complex relationships or system issues with our partnership with Education.
* Support clinical supervisors in overseeing assessment and treatment plans.
* Work with children, young people, families, and schools to develop intervention plans.
* Provide overall clinical leadership for the MHSTs within Kent & Medway.
* Ensure adherence to service referral protocols and escalate cases as necessary.
* Maintain coherent records of all activity in line with service protocols.
* Work collaboratively with children, young people, and communities.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice.
* Eligibility for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body.
Experience
* Extensive experience of working with CYP within Mental Health settings.
* Experience of strategic work with the wider health and education system.
* Knowledge or experience of MHST services.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
