JOTA Advanced Engineering specialise in manufacturing fully inspected, complex components in a wide range of materials including aluminium, stainless steel, special alloys and plastics. We offer full project management for the manufacture of components, with our team of experts overseeing the process from start to finish, enabling us to deliver a highly efficient, accurate and budget-conscious service. An inspector within our accredited quality control department will programme Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) and support the workshop with General dimensions and tolerancing (GD&T).
A Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Programming Mitutoyo Vision System and Contour Tracer
2. Using our MRP System for dealing with non-conforming products
3. Support in 8D processes and corrective actions
4. Good understanding and ability to use MS Office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
5. Must be familiar with mechanical measurement techniques and be able to use electrical and mechanical measuring equipment
6. Ability to learn, gain knowledge and record methods to improve general working practices
7. Ability to gather information rapidly and apply in a structured, methodical manner
8. Able to act under pressure
9. A generally positive attitude is desirable, as is a high element of flexibility when work load suits
10. Proactive nature and self-starter who is keen on building and establishing a strong quality culture
11. Clear understanding and adherence to ethical principles, company values, code of conduct and policies
12. Enforcing safety: Ensuring strict safety guidelines and company standards are followed
13. Maintaining a safe work environment: Ensuring a healthy and safe work environment and the safe use of equipment and machinery
14. Communicating health and safety concerns: Communicating health and safety concerns to the Health & Safety Manager
Qualifications and education requirements:
* CMM Programming: 5 years (Essential)
Preferred skills:
* Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge on GD&T
* Experience with HAAS CNC Machines is desirable
* Knowledge of Fanuc controls is desirable
* Strong communication skills are important
* Must be able to work independently with a proactive mindset
