Location: Ballymena
Package: £32k depending on experience plus 30 days holidays (plus stats) time keeping bonus up to £1100

Working hours: Core hours are 8am - 5pm / Monday - Friday with some flexibility.

A leading manufacturer supplying into the construction industry in Northern Ireland. The company serves a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, civil engineering, and construction, offering an extensive portfolio of products.
Role and responsibilities:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing, supplier selection, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets, while managing supplier relationships and performance.
* Collaborate with departments (production, finance, operations) to align procurement with business needs and streamline processes.
* Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and resolve supply issues to ensure smooth operations and minimize costs.
Essential:
* 1+ years of experience as a Purchasing Officer / Purchasing administrator
* Strong negotiation and administration skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the procurement team.
* Willingness to be flexible to suit business needs.
