Monitoring patient vital signs and reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professional. Providing basic patient support, including emotional support and reassurance. Ensuring patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality. Assisting with minor procedures, such as wound dressing and medication administration, under the direct supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. Administrative Support: Providing reception and clerical support, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records. Assisting with the management of medical supplies and equipment. Preparing and maintaining patient environments. Assisting with the coordination of patient flow within the UTC. Safety and Compliance: Adhering to NHS policies and procedures related to infection control, safeguarding, and health and safety. Following safe moving and handling techniques. Participating in mandatory training and development activities. Ensuring compliance with all relevant UTC protocols and guidelines. Emergency Response: Responding to emergency situation as needed, including assisting with CPR and administering emergency medications. Following emergency protocols and procedures. Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and effective patient care. Quality Improvement: Participating in quality improvement initiatives and audits. Identifying and reporting any issues or concerns related to patient care. Suggesting ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the UTC.
