The role
As a Safety Case Manager (NRP) you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Your role will include leading and managing the production of Nuclear Safety Justifications. You will focus on Faslane and Coulport ensuring tasks are delivered safely on time, to specification and within an agreed budget. Ensure close liaison with all key MoD and Babcock stakeholders throughout.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management of the NRP Nuclear Safety Justifications across both Faslane and the EHJ as directed by Nuclear Compliance Manager (NCM).
* Support the Nuclear Compliance Manager with the development and maintenance of a fully justified and compliant Site Safety Justification iaw Authorisation Condition 14.
* Implement HMNB Clyde Safety, Security, Quality and Environmental policies in the Site Safety Justification area of the business.
* Ensure that adequate Suitably Qualified and Experienced resource and equipment is available to conduct activities in accordance with the Clyde Safety Management Arrangements.
* Represent SJG at Clyde Safety Committees, convened under Authorisation Condition 13.
* Represent SJG at Regulator Interface Fora and other external facing meetings including with relevant Design Authorities.
This role is full time 37 hours per week and is based at Faslane and Coulport.
Essential Experience:
* Competent and experienced in managing the conduct of NRP Site Safety Justifications procedures and processes.
* Knowledge and experience of Safety Case methodologies; Facility infrastructure and operations; NRP systems and operations; and Engineering Procedures.
* Awareness of Commercial processes (RCA, Purchase Orders, Receipting, etc).
Qualifications:
* HNC in Engineering or Equivalent.
* Nuclear Introductory Course or RN Charge Qualification Marine Engineer (Cat A1/A2).
* Train the Trainer.
* Nuclear Warship Support Course (NWSC) Module 4.
* Environmental Awareness and Best Practicable Means.
* Nuclear Safety Case Methodologies Course NSCMC.
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
