Our client are a successful and well established brand in their sector and now require a Workshop Manager with a proven track record to support the team in Poole.About the RoleAs Workshop Manager, you'll be overseeing a team of 17, made up of on-site and field-based technicians, apprentices and MOT testers, as well as administrative support. This role requires an experienced and strategic manager to oversee day to day workshop operations, while liaising daily with Head Office and regional branches to ensure the full communication of ongoing works.Core ResponsibilitiesFull responsibility for the effective day-to-day management, scheduling and development of the workshop team through building rapport and credibly demonstrating technical knowledgeResponsibility for workshop loading in conjunction with the Workshop ForemanEnsure effective diagnostic of vehicle faults, striving for a high fix first timeMaximising revenue levels internally and externally through reviewing workshop processes and identify scope for efficiency and cost improvementsTrack and take accountability for departmental Profit & LossUndertake the completion of job cards, invoicing and recharging non-service itemsOversee the ordering, checking and returning of partsEncourage strong and effective communication with internal departmentsIdentification of team performance strengths and weaknesses and encourage development where requiredRecruitment and development of apprenticesEnsure adherence to current workplace legislation and Health and Safety requirementsRequirementsAbout YouSuccessful candidates should demonstrate the following skills and competencies:Natural people manager committed to fostering happy and productive team delivering excellent service in a workshop environmentStrong understanding of manufacturer warranties- able to identify when to repair and when to send to dealershipMOT Station Manager AEDMDemonstrable high-level diagnostic and technical skillsCommercially minded with a drive to improveExcellent communicator, comfortable working with employees of at all levelsProficient with Microsoft office and comfortable with other operating softwareThe Package£45-50k Plus excellent benefits packageBy applying for this role, you are consenting for Gravity Recruit Limited to hold and process your data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations.
