Hays are looking for an experienced Cost Controller/Finance Analyst to ensure that costs are thoroughly understood and tightly controlled. Your role will involve challenging the relevant cost centre managers in relation to their cost base and productivity levels and ensuring the sharing of best practice and initiatives across both your own areas of responsibility and those of other team members.
Assist in the management of the build, consolidation, and challenge of all financial plans.
Accountabilities & Activities:
* To ensure the provision of consistent and accurate information to the business in respect of all functional costs.
* Ensure that all costs are accurately captured in the correct cost centres & projects.
* To assist in the continual development and improvement of the reporting of the costs to the appropriate business managers.
* Produce monthly reports to the functional directorates and senior managers to strict deadlines.
* At year-end and half-year-end, we report on all significant accruals in relation to the cost base and provide supporting evidence and explanations to both financial accounts and the external auditors in relation to these accruals.
* Proactively seek process improvements to improve the accuracy and efficiency of month-end processes to meet tight deadlines.
