Care Officer/ Support Worker/ Health Care Assistant
Protocol Education are seeking a Care Officer to join a SEND provision in Hornchurch.

This role is supporting specialist students who have Social/ Emotional/ Mental Health needs from the ages 16+ years. These students may have come from distressed or toxic backgrounds. The right candidate will need to be confident with de-escalation strategies, tough, and know how to handle challenging behaviours.
You must also be empathetic and have a good understanding or background in special educational needs or Social emotional, mental health. Resilience and hard work are a must. An outdoors/sports/activity co-ordinator background would also be great, as this role entails a lot of outdoor activities.
Duties would include:
1. Assisting in developing and implementing care plans for each child, ensuring their physical, therapeutic, emotional, and social needs are met.
2. Carrying out daily activities such as meals, recreational activities, and educational programs.
3. Ensuring the health and well-being of children, such as administering medication as needed.
4. Maintaining accurate records of each child's progress, behaviour, and any incidents that occur.
5. Working with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure a comprehensive approach to their well-being.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
