We would love you to come and join our acute speech and language therapy teams in Salford for a 12 -month Fixed Term contract to cover a maternity leave. This is part time hours (30 hours) and would be well suited to someone requiring a flexible working pattern.
You will part of the acute SLT team offering Speech and Language Therapy provision for patients across the acute medical and surgical wards. We also provide input to the acute neuro and neuro surgical wards.
This post will require you to have skills in managing adults with a range of swallowing and communication difficulties. Alongside this, you will also work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and have opportunities to contribute service development and quality improvement programs.
We are keen to pursue innovative treatments within SLT as well as be involved in research. We are looking for a like minded individual to come and join us.
All applicants must have a degree in Speech & Language Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the RCSLT.
You will provide assessment, treatment and management of adults with speech, language and swallowing disorders. Previous experience of working with adults would be an advantage but we are happy to take applications from Newly-Qualified Therapists.
We would welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about providing a quality service to our patients and who are willing to grow their knowledge and skills in these clinical areas. In return, we will provide supervision, protected CPD time and a preceptorship programme to support completion of the RCSLT newly qualified competencies.
