Customer Team Leader
About the Role
We are looking for a Customer Team Leader to join our team at Co-op. As a Customer Team Leader, you will be part of a friendly team that is dedicated to helping our customers.
You will be responsible for leading the store team, coaching and supervising our Customer Team Members, deputising for the Store Manager, and delivering great customer service.
You will also perform a wide range of other tasks around the store, including re-stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages.
Key Responsibilities
* Friendly and thoughtful service – giving friendly, welcoming, easy, helpful and thoughtful service every day, supporting with tasks on the post office counter, often taking ownership for managing the store and handling challenging situations
* Develop your team's capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone's voice is valued and respected
* Making sure that the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational
* Managing diligence checks and stock accuracy to make shopping a great experience for our customers
* Supporting your store manager by deputising when they're not working and delivering a variety of HR processes
* Leading the way when introducing new products and services in your store – working closely with your team to implement change and encourage open and honest feedback
About You

* The ability to strike a balance between leading and supporting your team and rolling up your sleeves on the shop floor
* Great people skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* A desire to learn, grow and develop your leadership skills
