We are looking for an experienced dietitian with renal skills to join our well respected renal dietetic team. You will need to be able to work effectively with the MDT and be passionate about service development, working with stakeholders, including patient groups, to provide excellent care for our kidney patients.
As a renal dietetic team we provide holistic dietetic care for patients at all stages of their kidney pathway: pre-dialysis, haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, transplantation and supportive care. We are key members of the team on our two busy renal / urology wards and renal enhance care area managing patients with complex conditions. The renal department provides support for research and quality improvement projects, our dietitians regularly present at internal renal audit meetings and externally at UKKW. We are actively involved in the RNG, UKKA and London Kidney Network.
To provide a Clinical Dietetic Service to Bart’s Health Renal Service. Services are based at The Royal London Hospital, Mile End Hospital and satellite dialysis units at Newham University Hospital, Hornchurch Dialysis Unit, Whipps Cross Hospital and King Georges Hospital. Specialist dietetic care is provided as part of a multidisciplinary team for both in and out patients and for dialysis and non-dialysis patients.
Managing junior renal dietitians and leading on the renal specialities covered by the role. Managing risk and governance and identifying and undertaking service development and quality improvement for the clinical area
The post holder will work with the 8a Clinical Lead and other Band 7 Renal Senior Specialist Dietitians to lead the overall renal dietetic service.
