The Senior Research and Planning manager delivers insights that are human, joined-up and compelling which influence key business decisions and ensure we put our guests and prospective future guests at the heart of everything we do. The role leads research for Premier Inn with some involvement with restaurants where there is a relevant strategic project. The purpose of the role is to deliver insight to inform and guide strategic marketing and business decisions, bring the human lens to the business via connecting what people/our guests think, feel, say and do and to highlight opportunities and threats for our brands. Leading a team of 2 managing workload, setting objectives and appraising them and coaching and developing them to reach their potential. With your team, designing and delivering human, joined-up and compelling insight with the key scope being brand strategy, growth strategy, campaign evaluation, content planning, product and proposition innovation & development as well as sometimes customer experience design and improvement. Given the responsibility the role has for ad-hoc research, working closely with agency partners with your team to ensure they are well briefed, use sound methodologies and deliver high quality outputs. Working with the main agencies to immerse them in our business and evaluate joint ways of working and output to ensure we get the best return on investment for our spend with them. Onboarding new agencies (likely to be 2 new agencies in 2023).
