Assistant Food and Beverage Manager - Temporary
40 hours: 5 over 7 days, weekends and some flexibility required to work around business needs
We are currently recruiting an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to provide temporary support to our management team. The right candidate will work alongside the hotel Food and Beverage Manager, ensuring an efficient and effective management approach to deliver great customer service and seamless service and leadership to all food and beverage areas at the hotel.
Candidates must be organised, committed to delivering excellence at all times, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, work well as part of a team, able to lead a team of staff, and have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role in hotels/hospitality. This position may suit a Food and Beverage Deputy Manager/Supervisor ready for their next big move.
Duties
Your day-to-day duties will include:
* Working alongside the hotel's Food & Beverage Manager
* Collaborating with the head chef and kitchen team to develop the Food and Beverage team's menu knowledge
* Planning effectively so all aspects of Food and Beverage operate seamlessly
* Ensuring that the Food and Beverage Team is motivated to deliver excellence at all times
* Managing day-to-day staffing of departments and weekly rostering
* Delivering on-the-job training to your team daily
* Ensuring that your department is kept clean, tidy, and organised at all times
* Managing liquor stock rotation and weekly ordering in line with the business
* Working shifts on a 5 out of 7 day basis, including weekends; therefore, flexibility is essential.
