Join our Customisation and Development team, responsible for delivering helicopter retrofit projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards for the UK MOD, National Police Services, Air Ambulance, and VIP customers. As a Project Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring project progress and cost are tracked against robust, integrated plans. Key Responsibilities Project Planning: Create and manage individual project plans, integrating them into a master schedule aligned with business priorities. Monitoring & Reporting: Proactively monitor progress, develop recovery strategies, and provide timely, accurate reports to the PMO Manager and Project Managers. Compliance & Assurance: Ensure adherence to project control standards, change control, risk management, and cost control procedures. Event Facilitation: Participate in and facilitate project management events and workshops. Leadership: Lead initiatives to determine future Project Planning Tools & Procedures. Essential Knowledge and Skills Proficiency in project planning tools (P6, MS Project, Google-based tools). Understanding of the full project development lifecycle and formal gate reviews. Experience in managing design disciplines and maintaining resourced project plans. Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures, Cost & Schedule Variance, and Cost Management reporting. Ability to compile and update Gantt Charts and perform Critical Path Analysis. Experience in Resource Allocation and Capacity Planning. Familiarity with standard reporting metrics, including KPIs. Appreciation of Risk Management in projects. Strong prioritization skills within constrained timelines. Proficiency with Google suite of programs. Education, Qualifications, or Training Experience in delivering robust project planning within an engineering-based PMO organization. Recognized qualification in Project Management (e.g., AMPMP, PRINCE2) or equivalent experience. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
