Our client, a leading homeware supplier, is seeking professional 7.5 Tonne drivers to join their team. Drivers are customer-facing and therefore act as ambassadors for our client. As a multi-drop driver, you will be expected to deliver a range of furniture and homeware. The role will include route planning, completion of paperwork, parcel & vehicle checks, making deliveries, and providing the best possible customer service while working professionally and efficiently in accordance with relevant Company policy.
Key Responsibilities:
* 6am start Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday (Rotating)
* Multidrop deliveries on a 7.5 Tonne vehicle
* Carry out daily vehicle safety checks, reporting any faults to the Line Manager, ensuring that the Company vehicle allocated is maintained in a roadworthy and clean condition, documenting appropriate checks and reporting any faults immediately.
* Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and tidy and only used for business purposes.
* Assist in loading assembled orders onto the vehicle, ensuring that the payload is within the limits for the vehicle and goods are safely loaded for delivery.
* Ensure duties are carried out in compliance with the requirements of the Company Operators Licence.
* Ensure all scheduled deliveries are completed in a timely manner, unloading and taking to the final delivery point as requested.
* Ensure that all POD (Proof Of Delivery) paperwork is correct and authorised.
Minimum Requirements:
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence
* Commercial driving experience
* No more than 6 points on driving licence
* Right to work in the UK
