An exciting opportunity has arisen within the ODN team following on from the recent publication of the National Qualification in Speciality Standards (QIS). The ODN has secured funding for a 12 month 8a secondment that will support the implementation of the QIS national standards alongside supporting the region with educational opportunities and training needs. Ideally the successful candidate should have previous experience working at a network level.
We are looking for a motivated and creative educational leader to support the development of Qualification in Speciality (QIS) education across the East of England. You should have expertise in both education and Neonatal Critical Care, with significant nursing leadership experience.
You will act as a point of contact and provide expert advice for all matters relating to neonatal clinical education and practice development.
You will lead on the development and delivery of regional education plans in line with key local, regional and national strategies.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will identify key education metrics for the Network and support network educators and local education teams to ensure these objectives are being met.
The post holder will provide managerial oversight to work streams within the ODN training portfolio.
The post holder will develop relationships with regional clinical leads, actively seeking to understand their workforce and educational needs in order to support and drive development opportunities for all clinical staff.
The post holder will ensure that the Network is kept informed and acts upon national developments affecting education and training within neonatal care to ensure robust practice.
The post holder will seek and maintain communication with other local and national organisations, for example, Higher Education Institutions and Health Education England.
The post holder will develop relationships with the Paediatric education lead and national neonatal education leads. The post holder will line manage the Band 7 PDN.
