As a Student Recruitment Officer at YStudy, you will play a critical role in converting leads into enrolled students by engaging with potential applicants over the phone or face to face. You will be responsible for guiding them through the onboarding process, providing essential support for university registration, student finance applications, and offering interview preparation and personal statement/CV guidance. This role involves high-intensity calling, goal-oriented lead conversion, and hands-on support to ensure students are set up for success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Conversion:
* Make outbound calls to potential applicants who have expressed interest in university programs.
* Follow up on leads in a timely manner to maximize conversions.
* Present relevant educational opportunities and the benefits of YStudy’s partner universities.
* Achieve and exceed monthly enrollment targets.
* Applicant Support & Onboarding:
* Provide detailed guidance on the university application process.
* Assist applicants in completing student finance applications and ensure they understand funding options.
* Guide applicants through university registration, including form filling and document submission.
* Interview Preparation:
* Offer personalized interview coaching to applicants, helping them prepare for university admissions interviews.
* Conduct mock interviews, provide feedback, and offer tips for confidence-building and successful performance.
* Share insights on common interview questions and how to structure answers effectively.
* CV and Personal Statement Guidance:
* Provide expert advice on crafting a compelling CV tailored for university applications.
* Assist students in writing and refining personal statements, ensuring they effectively highlight their strengths, experiences, and aspirations.
* Review and give constructive feedback on CVs and personal statements to improve chances of success.
* Performance Monitoring:
* Maintain accurate records of all interactions with students and update CRM systems.
* Track and manage the progress of each applicant from initial contact to enrollment.
* Prepare weekly and monthly reports on lead conversion rates, pipeline status, and other key performance metrics.
* Relationship Building:
* Build strong relationships with applicants to understand their academic goals and provide personalized support.
* Encourage recommendations and referrals through positive engagement and successful applicant outcomes.
* Collaboration & Teamwork:
* Work closely with the wider YStudy team to share best practices and strategies for improving lead conversion.
* Provide feedback to marketing teams on lead quality and trends.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in sales, customer service, recruitment, or student support roles (ideally in education).
* Ability to manage high volumes of outbound calls in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills to convert leads into successful enrollments.
* Strong understanding of the UK university application process and student finance (training will be provided).
* Experience with interview preparation, CV writing, and personal statement development (desirable).
* Target-driven with a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.
* Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple applicants at different stages of the process.
* Familiarity with CRM software and other tools to track leads and performance metrics.

Qualifications:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Other foreign languages from The European Union or Asia constitutes advantage.

* Leadership qualities to drive marketing initiatives forward.
* Familiarity with Google Ads and Google Analytics is advantageous.
