Responsibilities
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Your key responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Teaching mathematical concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced algebra, geometry, and data analysis.
Preparing students for GCSE exams, ensuring they are confident and ready for assessment.
Assessing students’ work, providing constructive feedback, and setting targets for improvement.
Supporting students in developing problem-solving skills and a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.
Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Contributing to the department’s development by collaborating with other teachers and sharing best practices.
Supporting extracurricular activities, such as maths clubs, to engage students outside of lessons.
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and academic performance, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Maths Teacher who is committed to helping students achieve their best. The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching maths at secondary level.
Have a strong knowledge of the maths curriculum and experience in preparing students for GCSE exams.
Be enthusiastic about teaching maths and able to inspire students of all abilities to develop a love for the subject.
Have excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Be able to assess and monitor student progress effectively, ensuring that all students make significant improvements.
Be a strong team player, willing to contribute to the department and share best teaching practices.
Be committed to ongoing professional development and staying current with new teaching strategies and curriculum developments.
