A leading financial services organisation is currently searching for a Business Analyst / Project Manager with experience within financial service organisations on a 6 - 9 month contract basis. The day rate will be £550 Umbrella per day, with their working policy being two days out of their city center
Responsibilities for the role are;
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst with a strong background in financial services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, confidence in dealing with difficult stakeholders, and the ability to work independently as a self-starter. This role will involve working closely with various departments to analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough business analysis to understand and document current processes, identify gaps, and propose improvements.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders, including senior management, to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop detailed business requirements documents.
3. Utilize financial knowledge to analyze data, generate reports, and provide insights to support decision-making.
4. Act as a liaison between business units and IT, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals and requirements.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, addressing any concerns and managing expectations effectively.
6. Lead and participate in project meetings, providing updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
7. Create and deliver presentations to stakeholders, illustrating findings, recommendations, and project status.
8. Work independently to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
10. Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for end-users to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
Qualifications:
11. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
12. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the financial services industry.
13. Strong knowledge of financial products, services, and regulations.
14. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
15. Confidence in dealing with difficult stakeholders, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
16. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
17. Proficient in using business analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, Visio, and project management software.
18. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
19. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
20. Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are a plus.
