The Opportunity To support our continued ambitious growth in Energy, we have a new opportunity for an Energy Consultant to join our vibrant team in either Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, or Sheffield. You will be part of a project team developing strategies, solutions, and integrated project schemes for public and private sector clients. Recent projects include solar photovoltaics, electricity storage, low temperature heat networks, low carbon heat generation, hydrogen for transport, and more. In this role, you will consult on net zero solutions and decarbonisation developments in areas such as Wind, BESS, and Solar; energy distribution; and district heating and cooling. You will work on sustainability policy development, carbon management, and support decarbonisation master planning at various scales. Your role will involve preparing bids for client opportunities and funding rounds in the decarbonisation sector. Is this role right for you? MEng or MSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Chartered Engineer (or working towards it) with membership in relevant professional institutions. Experience in technical consulting projects, energy infrastructure feasibility studies, and advising clients on net zero carbon strategies. Strong project and technical analysis, reporting, and presentation skills. Knowledge of electrical distribution at HV and MV is an advantage.
