The Support Assistant is at the heart of the Refugee Support and Restoring Family Links (RSRFL). You will be working alongside an operational team delivering frontline services and provide a vital link in our service delivery.
Working as part of the wider RSRFL directorate, the purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to our Birmingham based team. You’ll provide efficient and reliable administrative support to the team in order to support high quality service delivery to people in crisis. This will be in essential in ensuring we deliver the best possible service.
This is a fantastic opportunity and will be a rewarding role for the right person. You’ll be helping us achieve our mission of supporting people in crisis. A day in the life of a Support Assistant will involve:
1. Providing administrative support to the team
2. Data Management
3. Responding to external enquiries
To be a successful Support Assistant, You will have the following skills and experience:
4. You are organised and can plan, manage and monitor you own workload
5. Fully IT literate.
6. Excellent time management skills. You can respond to and prioritising a range of competing demands
7. Superb interpersonal and communication skills
8. You can recognise the implications of working within a charity and a voluntary organisation
9. You can demonstrate flexibility and open mindedness
10. You have the ability to listen, empathise and provide emotional support to highly distressed and vulnerable people in crisis
