About the Role
The successful applicant would be a valued member of the Junior team and a contributor to the life of our school, making a difference in the learning life of our students requiring support with literacy. The position may be fulfilled by one or two people depending on their availability and flexibility in hours. The Intervention role would ideally be spread over 3 days, and the Classroom position is for one full day to release a staff member for their Position of Leadership.
The Literacy Intervention Teacher is accountable for:
* Teaching and supporting Literacy Intervention students identified through assessments and data.
* Monitoring and analyzing the progress of the students.
* Communicating with relevant staff about the progress of the students.
* Supporting teachers with strategies to implement in the classroom to aid the students' learning.

Special Requirements
* Current VIT registration
* An understanding of and commitment to the Child Safety Standards in accordance with the Victorian Government's Ministerial Order No. 1379
* An understanding of Intervention strategies that best support students would be beneficial.
