Head of Estates (non-portfolio) – Surrey – c£54k Benefits We’re working with a highly ethical property group who manage a wide range of developments across the open market leasehold, social and retirement housing sectors on behalf of developers, housing associations and resident management companies UK wide (with a particularly strong presence in SE England). Within their Retirement division, they now seek a Head of Estates as follows: Working office based in Surrey for the most part, except when visiting staff or clients on sites Overseeing a team of 8 Area Managers who themselves oversee a portfolio of Retirement sites across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire You will not have involvement in the day to day management of property, rather you will manage those managing sites to ensure SLA’s, Business Objectives and other associated markers/KPI’s are met, whilst also providing technical / financial guidance where necessary (i.e. advising on complex budgets or S20 works) 5 years minimum Leasehold (and ideally retirement) Property Management experience, ideally underpinned with TPI or related professional qualification Track record of staff / team management, engaging with clients and overseeing successful outcomes from escalated issues (resident, client or staff) Thorough understanding of Landlord & Tenant Act alongside all associated regulation governing leasehold property management Systems savvy with good all round experience/exposure to Microsoft Office (QUBE / FixFlo would be beneficial) Quality minded and customer focused approach In addition to a starting basic salary around £50k, the successful Head of Estates will receive a car allowance around £4k, generous annual leave entitlement, pension and an outstanding commitment to welfare and work life balance.
