Salary: £44,771 - £47,754 (SCP 35-38) per annum actual salary

Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full time (52 weeks) – 37 hours

About The Achievement Team
The pastoral department at The Bulwell Academy is dedicated to supporting students’ emotional and social well-being alongside their academic needs. The team support our Directors of Achievement in driving improvements in academic performance through the identification and provision of appropriate academic interventions to tackle underperformance, to provide high quality pastoral support, ensuring high attendance and good punctuality and to improve the behaviour and culture of specific year groups.
About You
As a Senior Director of Achievement at The Bulwell Academy, you will be a strong leader for the behaviour team. You will bring a compassionate and proactive approach to supporting students’ well-being, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment, and collaborating with staff and external agencies to address students’ diverse needs. Our ideal candidate would:
* The ability to positively influence and persuade students towards the school’s vision, values and ethos, whilst being a role model with a professional approach.
* Be student-focused, recognising the importance of educational achievement in transforming lives, and managing student behaviour positively in line with academy policies.
* Work effectively as part of a team, use initiative, follow instructions, remain calm under pressure, and possess a ‘can do’ and ‘will do’ attitude.
Requirements
To apply for the Assistant Director of Achievement opportunity, you must hold:
* Educated to degree level.
* Sustained record of professional development.
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
* Successful recent experience in leading effective change.
* Experienced in effectively resolving stakeholder concerns, including those raised by parents.
